At VMhosts, sustainability is more than just a buzzword – it’s part of who we are. We’re passionate about doing our part to protect the environment and make a positive impact in our community. IT as an industry can be a massive consumer of resources and we want to do our bit to ensure we are as eco friendly as possible.

Powered by the Sun

We’ve installed two large solar panel arrays on the roof at our main office. With these we generate enough power for all our office usage, but due to the size of the arrays we also export enough spare power which could power 10 average houses for a year! By harnessing the power of the sun hitting our roof, we reduce our carbon footprint and support a transition to sustainable energy.

Where we cant always guarantee enough sun for our needs such as our three datacentres we instead buy in green power. This means we pay a little more for the energy consumed but for every kwh we use it ensures the equivalent power is put into the grid from a renewable source.

Supporting Green Transportation

Our on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations make it easy for employees, customers, and visitors to go green. We believe in supporting the shift to electric vehicles and making eco-friendly travel more accessible!

Recycling for a Better Tomorrow

Recycling is a small but powerful step toward reducing waste, and we take it seriously. From paper and packaging to electronics, we ensure that materials are recycled responsibly. Every little bit helps in the fight against pollution and waste.

Planting Trees

Trees are an amazing thing, They help remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it away. they are a renewable power source once grown, the planting of new trees helps local economies and communities around the world and as such we take the opportunity to have some trees planted for us to further offset our consumption.
