New Microsoft announcement!
At Ignite 2022 Microsoft announced that a new Microsoft 365 app would replace all the individual applications which make up the M365 suite, and it appears the rollout has started! A message in admins message center shows that the online applications will be changed over in the coming weeks with Windows and mobile to follow early next year.

The new ‘all in one’ application is a central hub for accessing all the Microsoft services. It allows for viewing of existing documents of all types, the editing of documents and even creation of new documents. Third party applications can integrate with this too!
Eventually all office.com visitors will be redirected to the new microsoft365.com branded domains.
